FRESNO, Calif. – Each football season, Valley Children’s Healthcare teams up with Fresno State for a once-in-a-lifetime experience for patients. At every home football game, one Valley Children’s patient is selected to be the Kid Captain of the game.
At the Bulldogs’ matchup against Utah State on November 22, 7-year-old Banyan will be part of the coin toss and on-field festivities.
After a fall, Banyan was cared for by the experts in the Valley Children’s Emergency Department. His favorite thing to do is ride dirt bikes, and he hopes to be a professional rider when he grows up.
He also loves to play soccer, and his favorite animal is a tropical fish.
