River Vista Behavioral Health Names Chief Executive Officer

MADERA, Calif. – River Vista Behavioral Health, a partnership of Valley Children’s Healthcare and Universal Health Services (UHS), is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Louis Dutile, Ph.D., to Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of River Vista Behavioral Health, effective August 1, 2022. In this role, Dr. Dutile is responsible to direct day-to-day operations, managing and developing staff to assure excellence in the services provided. The new River Vista Behavioral Health is under construction and expected to open in early 2023. River Vista Behavioral Health will be the first dedicated behavioral hospital in the region and will have a unit specifically to provide pediatric psychiatric care, treatment and services.

Dr. Dutile brings more than 20 years of behavioral healthcare experience to the team. He joins River Vista from Exodus Recovery, Inc. in Los Angeles, where he served as Senior Vice President, Central Region, responsible for the oversight and development of a continuum of behavioral healthcare including inpatient, urgent care centers, mobile crisis response teams, intensive outpatient and supportive housing programs.

Dr. Dutile earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Loma Linda University. He earned his Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from California State University.

About River Vista Behavioral Health

Along the bluffs overlooking the San Joaquin River, this brand new 81,600-square-foot, 128-bed facility, currently under construction, will provide accessible, high-quality and advanced behavioral health services to residents and visitors in the Central Valley. River Vista Behavioral Health will provide inpatient and outpatient treatment services to children, adults and seniors. One 24-bed unit will be dedicated specifically to pediatric psychiatric care, treatment, services and educational needs, assisting Valley Children’s and other local hospitals in addressing the needs of patients presenting to the Emergency Departments.
