MADERA, Calif. – Valley Children’s Healthcare has been named a 2026 Top Performer in Stewardship by Vizient, earning the highest ranking among pediatric hospitals recognized for their commitment to sustainability and responsible purchasing.
The honor recognizes healthcare organizations that make thoughtful decisions about the products and services they buy, balancing cost, quality and environmental impact. This year, nearly 1,350 healthcare organizations were evaluated nationwide.
At Valley Children’s, those efforts are led by the supply chain team, which works behind the scenes to ensure the hospital has the supplies it needs to care for patients while also looking for opportunities to reduce waste, strengthen operations and make environmentally responsible choices.
Leaders said the recognition reflects years of collaboration across the organization to build sustainability into everyday decisions.
“Receiving Vizient’s Stewardship and Sustainability Award is an incredible honor because it reflects the collective commitment of so many people across Valley Children’s,” said Kellie Dyer, vice president of facilities and construction. “Sustainability isn’t the work of one department or one initiative, it takes all of us making thoughtful decisions about how we use our resources, care for our environment and serve our patients and families.”
