MADERA, Calif. – The Pulse has reached a major milestone, earning its first Regional Emmy Award for “Royce’s Recovery Brings Hope to the Valley,” a story highlighting a life-saving cancer treatment and the inspiring recovery of a Central Valley boy.
The feature earned the San Francisco/Northern California Regional Emmy Award in the Health/Medical News or Short Form category.
The story shines a light on CAR T-cell therapy, an innovative cancer treatment that saved a young patient’s life, while also highlighting his resilience and recovery. The treatment will be offered at Valley Children’s in the near future, bringing new hope to families across the region.
The San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recognizes excellence among television and media professionals across a vast region that includes Fresno, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Honolulu and other surrounding communities.
