MADERA, Calif. – Valley Children’s Healthcare has been named a 2026 Great Workplace for Nurses by Nursegrid, a digital workforce platform for nurses, in recognition of strong workplace support and job satisfaction among its nursing staff.
The honor is based on direct feedback from nurses about their employers. Nursegrid conducted its largest workplace recommendation survey to date, the company said, gathering responses from more than 50,000 active users nationwide.
“Our nurses shape the culture of this hospital,” said Vicky Tilton, chief nursing officer at Valley Children’s Healthcare. “Their willingness to recommend Valley Children’s to other nurses tells us they feel supported, respected and proud of the care they provide. That affirmation means more than anything.”
Valley Children’s was one of 204 organizations recognized and was the only hospital in the Fresno region to receive the designation.
“When nurses have the resources they need, they deliver the highest level of care,” Tilton said. “We’ve created an environment that encourages growth, leadership and continuous learning.”
Valley Children’s also continues to invest in the future of nursing through expanded clinical training, mentorship and advanced education opportunities. One of its key initiatives is an ongoing partnership with Fresno State, aimed at increasing the number of nursing school graduates by 50% over five years.
